PATTEN UNIVERSITY EXTENSION SITE
DREAM CENTER, LOS ANGELES
2301 Bellevue Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90026
Approved by WASC in 2010, the primary purpose of the extension site at the Dream Center is to provide a quality academic program for students interested in community-based ministry and para-church service. Programs offered at the Dream Center site include a 24 unit Bible-Ministry Certificate, a 48 unit Bible-Ministry Certificate and the Associate of Arts degree in Church Leadership.
The 24 unit and 48 unit Certificates and the A.A. degree are components of an applied academic program designed to train students who are currently serving or are planning to serve in Christian community service activities. The curriculum integrates rigorous classroom and real-time community service and activities throughout the courses. Upon completion of the 24-unit certificate, a candidate can apply those courses to the 48-unit certificate. The two sets of 8 certificate courses are designed to flow into the Associate of Arts degree in Church Leadership and can also be applied to the Bachelor of Arts degree offered on the Patten Oakland campus.
