Liberal Studies
This is an elementary subject-matter preparation program approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC). It is recommended for students who want to become teachers in elementary schools. Graduates with the Liberal Studies major are eligible to apply for admission to most Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Programs, one of which is offered at Patten University. This major is an integrated sequence of courses in the required subjects of study for teaching in elementary school classrooms.
