Bachelor of Arts Youth Ministry

 

The Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry program is designed to prepare students for vibrant, holistically informed, urban focused youth ministry in local church or para-church ministry organizations.  The courses, taught by seasoned youth ministry veterans with strong academic credentials, are designed to help students develop sturdy theological, missiological and sociological foundations for longevity and effectiveness in passionate Christ-centered ministry alongside adolescents.

For seventeen years, Dr. Moder has been involved in outreach, street-level youth ministry and youth ministry education. He holds
a Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry degrees from the Church of God Theological Seminary. He serves on the board for the Association of Youth Ministry Educators and is the Chair for their 2011 conference. He is also working on a book entitled Youth Ministry Beyond the Generational Divide.

          Learning Outcomes

 

   Upon the completion of this course of study students will:

 

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Biblical, theological,  

               sociological and strategic foundations for effective Youth   

               Ministry.

  • Utilize insight and sensitivity to integrate a multi-ethnic Youth  

               Ministry within the cultural setting of the local church.

  • Develop strategies for worship, evangelism, discipleship and  

               fellowship in a variety of youth ministry settings.

  • Gain communication skills in administration involving  

               recruiting, training, motivational planning and problem  

               solving.
