Total Tuition Per Term: $1,316
We charge a flat-rate tuition for every 16-week term. You pay per term, not per credit. Our unique low costs and monthly payment schedule helps you budget for your education and avoid debt.
The online academic calendar
Each term at Patten is 16 weeks, or approximately four months long. Beginning with the next online term start (to be determined, but probably in March 2013), online courses will be in self-paced format, and there will be no limit to the number of courses that a student may complete in a given term. Students will take one course at a time and may start a new course anytime before the last three weeks of the term.
Two ways to pay your tuition
No matter how you choose to pay, Patten online offers flat rate tuition with no additional fees. You can make monthly payments of $350 (includes payment charge of $21 per month), or pay by the term for $1316.
Patten provides all of the textbooks, study materials, and resources you’ll need online—at no extra cost.
On-campus students receiving financial aid who wish to take an online course should contact the Registrar’s Office.
Please note that financial aid is not available for online courses and degrees
At Patten University, we take pride in having what is possibly the lowest tuition rate for a private university in the country.
The table below presents the on-campus tuition for each term, covering from a single credit up to 18 credits for undergraduate study and up to 9 credits for graduate study. Requests to take additional credits in a term can be made following guidelines available from the Registrar’s Office, and there is no additional charge for studying online in addition to on-ground at Patten University.
|Undergraduate (1 – 18 credits)||$1,316|
|Graduate (1 – 9 credits)||$1,996|
|Teacher Credential Program (1 – 15 credits)||$2,396|
A Campus Fee of $400 per semester is required of all domestic campus students. Additional fees may apply and textbooks are not included in campus tuition. For additional information, please contact Admissions at 1-888-958-2089.
International students applying for admission should contact the Admissions department for information about tuition and fees, as well as for assistance in the application process.
Patten University has chosen not to participate in Federal and State Financial Aid programs, choosing instead to drastically reduce the price of attendance at our institution. This means that traditional Financial Aid is not available at Patten, and students must secure a way to pay tuition and fees other than the traditional grants and loans that result in significant debt for most college students today. Limited scholarships and some Work/Study positions are available to help students pay for their education at Patten. Information on these programs is available from the offices of Student Experience or Financial Aid.
Patten University is eligible for Federal Financial Aid (but not participating), which means if you have student loans from other schools we can help you defer payment on those loans while you are in attendance at Patten. Please inquire at the Registrar’s Office for deferral procedures.
