Abraham Ruelas holds a Ph.D. in Communication Research from Stanford University, a B.A. in Mass Communication from CSU East Bay, and a B.A. in Biblical Studies/General Studies from Patten University. He is the author of two books, Women and the Landscape of American Higher Education: Wesleyan Holiness and Pentecostal Founders, (Wipf and Stock, 2010), and, No Room for Doubt: The Life and Ministry of Bebe Patten, (Seymour Press, 2012); and is co-authoring, The Role of Female Seminaries on the Road to Social Justice for Women, with Dr. Kristen Welch (Wipf and Stock, 2015). He currently serves as Chair of the Board of Director of the Latino Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse of Alameda County. Abraham enjoys working in the area of educational effectiveness and was selected to participate in the 2014-15 WASC Assessment Leadership Academy.
