Biography
When he joined Patten University, Don Field brought thirty-two years of experience in the human resources field. He served as the manager, director and corporate official of a major steel company, Interlake Steel Corporation, and a gold mining company, Homestake Mining Company.
Mr. Field has a passion for helping those in need and a desire to work for social justice. In Illinois, he was involved in his community as president of South Chicago YMCA and member of the board of directors of South Chicago Community Hospital. Now in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has built a kitchen to feed the homeless for World Impact and installed new flooring for City Team (both in Oakland, CA). He serves meals to the needy through San Francisco City Team, Shepherd's Gate facility for women, World Impact and Elmhurst Presbyterian Church.
