Dr. Karen Ensor, Associate Dean of Education, Chairs the Multiple and Single Subject Teaching Programs and the Master of Arts Degree Program. She is the Chair of the Education Division Faculty Committee; Education Division Advisory Committee; Teaching Credential Supervisors’ Committee; and M.A. Advisors’ Committee. She teaches undergraduate courses in Psychology and Sociology as well as graduate courses in Observation & Participation, Supervised Student Teaching, and Research.
Dr. Ensor serves on various off-campus education committees including Oakland Unified School District Internship Partnership Committee and San Francisco Unified School New Teacher Support Advisory Council. Her recent workshop presentations include: What is Being Done to Develop Qualified Teachers in California: Legislation, Research and Credentialing Requirements; Meeting the Challenge of the Diverse Student Population in California, Biases in Teaching, and Using Assessment to Inform Teaching . Outside of academia, Dr. Ensor organizes regular activities and camps for children. She also serves as the BASS program committee. One of her personal passions is traveling "with a purpose."
