Biography

Dr. Kathleen Fairbanks’ multi-faceted background has provided her with the expertise to serve as a professor in both the Management and Education Departments at Patten University. In the undergraduate Management program, she teaches classes in Leadership in Organizational and Business Management, Business Law and Ethics, Research Methodology, and Integrated Management Project. In the graduate Education program, she teaches both credential and masters-level classes, including Professional and Legal Foundations of Education, and Legal, Financial and Operational Elements of School Leadership, as well as masters-thesis classes Research, Writing and Evaluation in the Classroom, Research Seminar I and II.

Previously, Dr. Fairbanks has served as a secondary school teacher, school psychologist, and coordinator of special services, as well as administrative credential program coordinator and faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley and Mills College. Dr. Fairbanks, as a licensed California attorney, has also taught law classes at several Bay Area law schools as an adjunct faculty member, in addition to serving as an instructor and grader for a major California bar exam preparation program.
